My meat loving family & friends cannot get enough of this breakfast pie we make… & jokes on them; there is NO MEAT in it! :) Literally whenever anyone has to be at our home early in the day, this is my most requested breakfast item. Why? Because it’s fucking HEAVENLY!! I wish there was an even more intense word for delicious, because I would use it, it’s that necessary. My meat loving friends think there’s meat in it, while my vegetarian friends are skeptical that it’s actually 100% vegetarian. IT IS. It’s just that WHOA with flavor! This is now my #1 most requested recipe from the people that have tried it. So for all that have asked for this recipe… IT’S HERE!! You’re welcome! <-- Not to sound cocky, scouts honor!

It’s super easy with only a handful of ingredients, so get your ass out of bed & start making this PRONTOOO! Don’t pass this recipe up because I can guarantee you’ll make this again, & again, & again; no question! I’m a huge hot sauce fan so the obvious & ONLY choice to douse this in is chili garlic Cholula—duh. Honestly though, it’s so fudging bomb on its own it doesn’t even need it. I just strive to make my tongue to go numb from the mass amount of spice at every meal *shrugs*. I get that from my dad <3

Wait no further my friends, scroll for the secret recipe you’ve been waiting for! This breakfast pie is perfect to make on the weekend with a little mimosa action on the side (not necessary, just saying)!


NOTE  |******* My friend Julia made this recipe EVEN healthier by subbing out the tater tots with CAULIFLOWER TOTS :O Yaaaassssssss!!!!! Check out her comment below to see just what she did! 


Serves: 9” Pie Pan (about 10 slices)
Prep Time: You tell me…




Butter, to lightly coat the pie pan

2 cups tater tots, frozen (2 cups-ish… shit’s not easy to measure!)

1 ½ Tbsp olive oil (or just what’s needed to lightly coat the tots)

¾ tsp garlic salt

¼ tsp pepper

¼ tsp poultry seasoning (NO it does NOT contain any actual meat folks)

1 tsp herbs de Provence OR Italian seasoning (whichever one you have on hand, it doesn’t matter)


6 whole eggs

4 egg whites (I try to be “healthy” & watch that ol’ cholesterol! I don’t even know the real truth behind the yolk to be honest. LIKE ARE THEY GOOD OR BAD CHOLESTROL?! AM I REALLY ONLY ALLOWED ONE YOLK A DAY?! IS THAT A MYTH ALLTOGETHER?!?! Shit’s confusing *cries*)

1 tsp garlic salt

¼ tsp pepper

¼ tsp poultry seasoning

1/3 cup milk (can sub for dairy-free, it works just as well)


1 tbsp olive oil

½ yellow onion, small dice

½ red bell pepper

½ green bell pepper (or just one whole bell pepper of the same color; I don’t really care. I just like the different colors)

Pinch S&P

6 oz Soyrizo (half the package, which I buy at Vons)


¼ - ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Avocado slices to top




1.    Heat your oven to 400 degrees F.

2.    Lightly coat the bottom & sides of the pie pan with butter (a little goes a long way—I’m not trying to clog your arteries here ;) Set aside.

3.    Toss the frozen tater tots with olive oil & seasonings in a bowl to coat.

4.    Heat a non-stick pan to medium high heat. When pan is HOT, add your tater tots & cook 5 minutes so the tots thaw a bit.

5.    Smash the tots down in the pan with a large spoon & cook another 5-10 minutes (flipping occasionally), until golden or to your desired level of crispiness!

6.    Put hot tots in the bottom of your pie pan & smash down (like a crust). Set aside.


1.    Heat the oil in a sauté pan over medium high heat. When the pan is good & hot, add your onions & bell pepper(s).

2.    Sprinkle just a pinch of salt & pepper over your veggie onion mixture.

3.    Sauté for about 3 minutes, just to soften the veggies a bit.

4.    Add the soyrizo & heat through for another 3-5 minutes.

5.    Put the mixture on top of the tater tot crust baby!!!!


1.    In a large bowl crack your eggs & whites.

2.    Add seasonings & milk & whisk those puppies so your breakfast pie is nice & light!

3.    Pour eggs right on top of the veggie soyrizo mixture.

4.    Put the pie in the oven & bake for 35 minutes.

5.    If putting the optional cheese, add your cheese after the 35 minutes & broil on high until nice & golden.

6.    You can add avocado slices but it is completely optional & not necessary.

7.    Enjoy that meatless breakfast pie! Go ahead… have another slice.

This has definitely been added to my recipe box. It's great for weekend breakfast recipes, brunch get-togethers, or even making it as something easy and delicious to heat up throughout the week!

I substituted with Green Giant Cauliflower Tots for a little healthier alternative. I definitely had to bake those a little longer before hand to get them as crispy for the crust (20min @400 degrees). I did not use avocado but put salsa and cilantro on top. DELICIOUS! Thanks Katrina! ❤️
